MARROS NEAR PENDINE

Photo left is Wiseman's Bridge, just a few miles from our site in Marros.  It was a miserable,  rainy day but brightened a bit when we were on the beach - dogs allowed!
Our site is just a farm field of about 1 acre of mown grass, with the usual farmer's trick of mowing but not collecting the grass. Fine when it's dry, but a real pain when wet with it sticking to shoes and being deposited over the MH floor!

I took this photo in Saundersfoot, a few more miles down the coast. So what's so interesting? Gas powered lights on the bike! Under the saddle is the gas generator with copper pipes to rear and front lights. The gas generator uses calcium carbide pellets which when moistened give off acetylene gas. My Dad had a similar gas generator which I used to play with many years ago. When I look back it was quite dangerous!
